Gun-Galuiut NR was established an accordance with resolution of the 9th Citizens' Representative Hural (Local Parliament) based on paragraph 1.3 of an article 20 of Land Law, an article 2 of Protected Area Law, 13th resolution of the Citizens’ Representative Hural of soum on April 03, 2003, initiatives of the Gun-Galuut Community Association and Selena Travel LLC.
Gun-Galuut NR includes basin of River Galuut, Mt. Baits and Berkh, Lakes Ikh Gun and Ayaga, in Galuut Bagh (the smallest administration unit, so called Brigade) for conserving pristine nature, protecting nature resources, setting up pleasant condition the locals live in and developing tourism.
